Welcome to WellnessPlus!
My journey as Founder & CEO of WellnessPlus began in July of 2001 when I experienced an alarming run-in with symptoms of cardiovascular disease. This eye-opening experience made me realize that I needed to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and in the next six months, I lost over 45 pounds.
This weight loss significantly decreased my lipid profile, blood pressure and blood sugar levels, changing my outlook on life and heightening my awareness of the importance of healthy choices. The impact of this experience also convinced me that BankPlus, where I have served as President & CEO since 1986, should provide our employees with a comprehensive wellness program, empowering them to make healthier lifestyle choices.
In 2003, the WellnessPlus program was launched at BankPlus, providing health and wellness education to help BankPlus employees positively influence behaviors, resulting in improved health among employees.
Since that time, WellnessPlus has become an internationally recognized worksite wellness program, with a proven return on investment for dollars spent on the program.
WellnessPlus Inc., now a subsidiary company of BankPlus, provides a comprehensive Web-based employee wellness program designed to improve the health of employees and manage healthcare costs at client companies throughout the U.S.
The mission and purpose of WellnessPlus is to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage personal health management by providing comprehensive education, skill sets and tools to implement healthy habits on a daily basis.
